FILCON is a coalition of various organizations as well as individual leaders in the area, volunteered to form themselves as a unified community in celebrating the Philippine Independence, launching various humanitarian causes in North Texas, and it serves as a coordinating group for various organizations.

Our mission is to inspire the Filipino spirit of “Bayanihan” or working together in unity among Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, and their friends, to provide a venue for the collective expression of pride in the Filipino’s rich national heritage and cultural values and to instill these values in the young; To provide a vehicle for unity and cooperation among different organizations and leaders, to more efficiently extend humanitarian assistance to victims of calamities, to support one another, and to sponsor educational and cultural projects that will redound to the benefit of Filipinos and the community in which they live. Our organization has a neutral, non-partisan position regarding political and religious affiliations. It is a nonprofit, non-religious and non-sectarian, and non-political.
This year, on Thursday, September 23, 2021, Filipino Leaders Coalition of North Texas dba FILCON is a participant in the forthcoming Communities Foundation of Texas North Giving Day, the annual one-day online giving support to programs that we have signed up for. Over the last three and half years, generous donors have supported our campaigns, and cultural heritage observance of Philippine Independence.
